Hubby and I take it easy at home for the majority of the holidays. Our kids are free to spend them with in-laws. Christmas is spent with family.

I like the down time. That's a vacay for me. If it's with family, it's ones I don't see a lot

My family was always enough for me..my sister and her family ...loud raucous holidays..Then we went our separate ways and I find I don't really like to be around other people much...

I try to spend them with family or friends. Now that I am widowed they can be very lonely without your spouse.
ReplyAs my young adult children are just starting out in their career and live abroad there have been the rare time when I’ve been alone. Husband is a pilot so it can be lonely.
ReplyBecause I love my family! Holidays aren't the same without them!
ReplyI work 2 jobs and go to college, so I never have any free time. Holidays are the few times I can spend time with my family. The time spent with them is a much needed break and makes me a lot happier.
