Either brush, manual or electric, can clean your teeth. But, the electric can help remove plaque that you may already have.

Switching to electric toothbrushes, with the superior job they do with fraction of the effort, was the best dental hygiene move we ever made.

both. Not sure which side to vote for that answer. I use the manual more often, not sure why. It's just what I grab for. :)
