I don't have the need to "get together" for I have a very small circle of friends/family and quite honestly, my job forces me to be digital all day long so I "shut down" every time I leave

Yes. Am maintaining club membership gatherings via ZOOM. Also visiting with friends who are far away via ZOOM. Electronic meetings leave something to be desired, but they are better than nothing.
ReplyBy digital do you mean do I give family members 'the finger'? Sometimes I have to do so when they get out of hand.
ReplyMy friends and I had a wonderful zoom meeting in May. We are planning another one in June. (Four of us are on the East Coast; three are on the West Coast.)
ReplyYes...we've learned to use zoom. I don't like it much, it shows all my flaws and wrinkles!
ReplyI have 4 grandchildren, 2 daughters + spouses, a son + s/o, and friends all over the US. Plus friends around the world. If I want to "get together" with them it's always digitally! Not much change.
ReplyIt's a good way to stay connected.
ReplyWe Skype our daughter and granddaughters at least once a week as they live almost 14 hours away from us by vehicle driving. Have three granddaughters who we love and dearly as well as our daughter.
ReplyMany meetups with family, especially since we've got soon to be 99 year old Grandpa sheltered with us now. Even tried playing games over Zoom with mixed success.
ReplyWe have been using digital media for years to keep in touch with friends, family and to attend meetings.
ReplyI attended a virtual meeting with a couple dozen other people.
