My hubby dries it so it isn't covered in water spots..

I wash the car when it rains wearing a raincoat. Mother Nature pre-rinses & post rinses. Takes about 10 minutes.

No need to waste my time doing this, though it's a question of either money or enjoyment. Some people (many I know) enjoy the time detailing their car, it's just not my thing.

A good carwash is designed specifically to do the best job on cleaning my car. I can never duplicate that setup in my own garage or driveway. And it is worth every dollar to me to not have to wash, rinse and extend myself all around my vehicle.

Back in my 20s and 30s nearly every Friday after work I'd go out and hand wash my car. Since then I just do the occasional drive thru car wash. Priorities have changed over the years.

I can't reach the upper part of the roof. I'm in a condo so no outside water spout to attach a hose. Carrying water, sudsy and clean, to heavy & hard for me.

As I got older and less time to relax and enjoy it, had no choice

I take my car to be detailed about every 3 weeks. Automatic car washes will scratch the finish, and I am too old to be out there washing the car by hand. Besides, it helps the economy to keep someone employed.

Worth the price. Washing and cleaning your car is something you put on the to do list but never DO it. Take your car to a place that does both inside and out. Pay for what you want and then go in their waiting room. Done in no time!

Usually to a car wash when getting oil changed or tuneup. Don’t do it all that often either so we get the works: wax and wash. About once every two months because it rains here a lot.

I like to really get the dirt off. I do take it to self service every three months to wash the engine. No dirt on mine

Why get the car washed? It will just get dirty again. I take mine to my Car Dealer twice a year for servicing; and they wash the car as a routine part of their service.

But just like last week's look good question, most of the time our cars just feel comfortably dusty -- kind of unavoidable in the country anyway.

A "robot" one, with no brushes. And then towel it off ourselves.
