Heck no no one gets along

I decided over 20 yrs ago to alienate my toxic family from my life including moving out of state and extremely happy ever since!

Before the pandemic, before kids got bigger and jobs changed, we were more regular. No so much now.

When we lived nearby we had reunions with extended family once or twice a year. But we moved a state away. Now, we visit individual households (or a some over a few days span) when we vacation every few years. We also have very close friends we consider family that we visit during those times.

I live to far and can't take time off work.

We used to but my mother's generation is mostly gone now and my cousins really aren't interested in doing them anymore. With social media we talk almost everyday. In the past the only time everyone got caught up with each other was at reunions. Our world has gotten smaller thanks to cyberspace.
