I try to give a "street donation" every time I go out. Even though I know that there are many "scammers," I like to believe that I am helping someone. When health permits, I donate platelets.

It depends. If I have extra money to give, I will give it. I think it's cruel to judge people who are down on their luck. Giving $1 or 2 won't make or break me but it might help someone get breakfast,

I usually ignore the people who look able bodied enough to work but sometimes if I see an elderly homeless person I will give them a few dollars if I have it.

Never. Much of the time, your money will be used for drugs or alcohol and will not help that person. I donate to organizations that help the homeless but donating directly hurts more than it helps.

Have you heard of mental illness? So often some of us have unjustified opinions of people because they don't want to take the time to have compassion instead.

These people often times rake in hundreds of tax free dollars in a day. I refuse to give my measly amount of money to people who refuse to work.

I would give food, as no one should starve. Money can be used for drugs and/or alcohol.

You can't trust a panhandler NOT to rob you, or worse.
