My father was a vet in WWII years before I was born. But other than my dad & a uncle, (mother's brother) no one has been in the military.

My dad was in Vietnam. My grandfather's served. However, it didn't define them in that way. They never talked about it much.

Although I have had relatives in every war the US has been in from the Revolution down to Korea, when I came along my father's military service was long over.

ReplyYes. My Dad was a career Marine so I am a military brat. Then married a retired Army officer. The military is in my blood via my loved ones...

ReplyDad USN, 2 brothers Army. Me USN. Husband USN. FIL USMC. BIL 1 USAF 1 Army. Daughter married a USMC. Other daughter with a USN guy and works for the Navy as does my son.
