When my hubby and I are going someplace together, he loves to be the one driving. I love to watch the scenery. but if we're going somewhere he isn't familiar, I drive to our destination.

Especially if one of us is tired, or if its a really long drive.

I for the most part do the driving, however, whenever I am tired or drowsy, I let my wife take the wheel.

My husband is more comfortable when he's behind the wheel. If he's too drowsy to drive safely then I take over for a while. And sometimes my vigilance (John! John!) is key to avoiding catastrophe.

I buy magnets with pictures of the places we visit. With many kids, grands & greats there are always photos, etc. to exhibit on our fridge.

The souvenirs have to be made in the country I'm visiting, something I can use or give as a gift, small enough to fit in my suitcase, and not too heavy.

Sometimes. Always when my daughter was little.

Souvenirs are touchstones that transport me back to when and where and with whom I bought them. I encourage everyone to not only bring back souvenirs, but to display them around the house.
