He lost his lover and his best friend died in front of him or so he thought at the time. But thats not the point the point is those two individuals were important and were worth a whole village to kakashi and he had to go through lost of pain and suffering because they were gone when he needed them
The heavy weight he carried…the sacrifice…the slaying of his family and his…entire clan (by his hand) in front of his beloved brother only to turn his grief into hate for himself feeling he could only atone by falling by his brothers hand…all for the sake of saving the village…
