true he drove his brother to the point to betray the village to get more power to kill him, he was dying slowly while committing acts of world terrorism to make the world a better place while carrying the burden of all the people he killed his sickness and his brother's hatred all for the leaf

He lost his lover and his best friend died in front of him or so he thought at the time. But thats not the point the point is those two individuals were important and were worth a whole village to kakashi and he had to go through lost of pain and suffering because they were gone when he needed them
