I don't think the Warhammer is necessarily made out to have your body out and connected by a wire. That's probably just something you can do with the power and was definitely the right move in the fight against Eren, otherwise it would've ended much sooner than it did. Warhammer all the way.

Eve just seems to be better person overall, and considering that the significant other being a normal person is a weak spot for superheroes that the villains tend to target, Eve would be the safest partner to have.
