The fact that there's a city liaison and police officer talking face-to-face with homeless people out there and giving them a 60-day notice rather than an immediate eviction (or even 30 days) is very generous. They're also helping connect those people to local services to get help and not be stranded elsewhere. Show Less

Yep, only legal avenue for city considering they're not willing to adopt and enforce an Anti-Pan-Handleing Law that a tremendous amount of cities have adopted across the States.

The Juniper Ridge evictions are a symptom of the growing issue of homelessness in Deschutes County, which needs to be fixed at its root. Evicting these people to build homes for the middle (to upper-middle) class isn't going to fix that or even help. They'll simply be pushed further East or South. Show Less
