This is a much-needed route through NE Bend that doesn't exist at the moment. It'll alleviate so much congestion and keep people out of neighborhoods.

More dangerous!
Routing more traffic this way increases the number of trucks and potential speeders on NE Bend roads. It'll get more dangerous to drive that way, naturally.
