I always thought kitchen grease could go down the drain with hot water, but it's definitely clogged our kitchen sink's drain before.

I haven't, but my wife has . . . more than once! Oh, and I have more years in the kitchen cooking.

I've always been taught to mop up grease and throw it away before trying to clean pans with grease in them.
