Should Sisters City Council put the statue in the new roundabout despite safety concerns?
YES
It represents the heart of Sisters that has always been a western town with logging , cows and horses . we also have one of the most popular rodeos on the west coast Sisters Rodeo !

It’s befitting of our culture, our way of life. The Sisters Rodeo has made this town prosper..There is no “danger” putting this on the round about, that’s a silly reason to not want it there.

I live in Bend where we have many roundabouts, where we have various artwork, and I've not seen a situation where I feel drivers were distracted, even in our high traffic roundabouts. In my opinion that's a red herring. I think the statue would be an asset to Sisters promoting its history.

It’s a significant piece of History. Prineville has a statue and it IS STILL STANDING!

Ebike riders need to be made to slow way down, especially in the old mill area. I have almost been run over by some riding way too fast for conditions
ReplyWouldn't hurt to have a patrol through some of our parks. Drake Park comes to mind.
ReplyI see too many people riding ebikes along the trail especially in Old Mill who are riding way to fast. These bikes don't belong on those trails at all.
