If you are a felon, you lost that right. If you are dumb enough to commit a felony, you are too dumb to vote.

They gave up the right when they were convicted of criminal acts and were imprisioned.

When they have paid their debt to society and are once again free citizens, yes, of course. I never agreed with the law that said that convicted felons should forfeit their right to vote forever. Once you are free, you should be allowed to vote.
