The vote by mail in Oregon is always in time, to get them back. No need to coddle lazy people who cant even do that! Grow up.

It's not important to get election results on election day. It is important to make it possible and easy for the most people to vote. The IRS accepts tax returns mailed on tax day, why not voting?

We have plenty of time to get our votes in on time. There's no good reason for allowing this extension. Little by little we are becoming more irresponsible.

It leaves too much room for voter fraud. We should know the results the night of the election

Oregon has plenty of opportunity to commit election fraud now. Detroit MI in 2016 was caught cheating by having more votes than registered voters. Oregon registers everyone so there will always be plenty of room for dead voters.

We need to know the results of elections on election night...or at the very least, the next day.

The election works fine as is. There was no reason to adjust the time line. Everybody knows your ballot needs to be returned by 8pm on election day. This only allows opposition parties a better opportunity hijack the vote.

NO, too much room for error and results should be available by at least the next day. States changing deadlines, registration requirements ,etc was the cause of the confusion in 2020. All states should have valid voter ID, inperson voting, absentee ballots sent our by request only and verified 1st.

Many of my students display addictive behaviors regarding their phones, and it has proven detrimental to their learning and social development. Any positive of cell phone use is vastly outweighed by negative consequences.

Long overdue. Students need to focus on being educated in school, not watching videos, playing games, & chatting with each other. Educators and others do not need the distraction that cell cause. If there are emergencies that students need to know about there are other ways for them to find out.

Kids are way too addicted to their phones and it is affecting their learning. Phones could be kept in a basket in the classroom in case of emergency, but definitely NOT with the kid.

My teaching friends say it's been a battle to keep kids off their phones in class and wastes a bunch of class time time addressing this. How will this be enforced any differently though?

Given the recent wildfires near Redmond, would you support a personal fireworks ban?
