Yes, especially when you combine the upheaval this causes with a few of their opt outs and departures. It's one of the reasons bowl games just aren't the same anymore. The record might say we're playing the 15th ranked team, but in reality, we're playing what's left of it. Glorified scrimmage gm!

I would say it gives Nebraska a BETTER chance for a bowl win… I wouldn’t go so far as to say that it gives Nebraska a GOOD chance for a bowl win. 🙄

The Utes could have Ernest P. Worrell coaching them and they'd still throttle us.

His replacement has been around the program since he played there under Whittingham. The transition will be smooth.

I think the only altered mindset might be the Utes will be angry and looking to show Whittingham they are as good without him as they were under him

ReplyIf they are coming to NU "now". It can only help. Maybe run a "slanting" defense and catch them "off guard"!!! Stuff the "run"!!! GBR!!!

ReplyOn the defense I think you will increased intensity, like 2024. The offense line coaching should have been changed sooner, at least Rhule got someone with experience and proven quality development & execution.
ReplyJust not confident in Matt anymore. Why he makes millions of $ and has now had 7 coordinators and it's everybody else's fault and he keeps his job?. I've been a fan since the early 60s and now am more concerned about the program than ever before.
