What it will lead to is kids not learning how to commit and see it through, a VERY important life skill. In all careers, there are down times and hurdles to get over. They won't. Entitled!

If open, rich schools like Ohio State and Texas would have 300 players on their rooster, which would impact the recruit pool. Of course those who don't play would end up in transfer portal. The scholarship limits helps all schools access to good players. Even with NIL, the scholarship limit helps

Most players don't get to go pro. As a former college walkon, being an athlete and having the $ to pay for college and other things is a huge burden. There is too much as a full time student and athlete to work as well. Opening more scholarships give more kids as much opportunity as possible.

I think the transfer of one time with no restrictions is fine. More than that is not healthy for the athlete.
ReplyCoaches leave as soon as it suits their best interests. Why should student athletes be held to a different standard?

ReplyWe ask 18 year old students to make major life decisions. Then punish them if they decide they made a poor choice. Should we make adult coaches sit out a year whey they decide to change schools?
