I think that they will be the Iowa game away from a division crown. Iowa is good, but there is a lot of football to be played between now and then.

Yes but not by much. The schedule is manageable but the depth & experience on the lines doesn't look good.

Nebraska will lose only two games. They will play for the Big Ten Championship.

I'll guess 40% chance of 8 wins, 25% chance of either 7 or 9 wins, and 10% chance above 9 wins or less than 7 wins.

There is no excuse to win fewer than 9 games with this sched

Nebraska has some tough opponents this year, and four of them have to be played away from Lincoln, so your idea about the schedule being easy is off base. I'll say an 8-4 season at best.

Is it reasonable to consider Nebraska a potential playoff team in 2025?

They are as much a potential playoff team as Arizona State and Indiana were last year. There is no harm is fans dreaming big. A team with a recent history like Nebraska is going to put it together this year. Why not the Huskers?

Just wishful thinking but I believe the talent is there. We will need a few breaks but it is possible.

They have a schedule that gets to the year 3 Matt Rhule 10 wins. If they can hang with Penn St. then they could be in the conversation as a 10-2, 11-1 team.

Haven't proven anything, yet.

Immanuel Kant would say no, but he had a very strict definition of reason. I can only imagine him pooh-poohing the Huskers because Rhule is compulsed to pass the ball on clear running downs. Afraid to actually hand the ball to the fullback on 3rd and 1. And instead is in the shotgun. NO THEY KANT!

Thry’ll be better this year, but I think 9-3 or 8-4 are likely which keeps them out of contention this year. My hope is that by year 4 under Rhule will finally get them ibto the playoff picture

They are a 6-6 football team until proven otherwise.

No on field results to support that yet. History told us talks are simply empty statements

NU has not demonstrated that they belong.

NU has not been able to recruit top notch players. The media has led fans to believe that 3 star players can be molded into 4 and 5 stars. That dog don’t hunt?

They need to prove they belong. Still to ,many players on the squad that played on bad teams and don't know how to win yet.

Let's not put the cart before the horse! 7 or 8 wins maybe.

Let's consider a few "bigger" bowl game victories first.... way to early!

He was a tackling machine with a less talented defensive line in front of him at Georgia Southern. He will have bigger gaps and less linemen reaching him IMO

Dick Butkus is the best Big Ten linebacker. But Watson-Trent might be the best ever with a hyphen in his name. Jack Ham is the best Big Ten linebacker to have the middle name Raphael. LaVar Arrington is the best to have a capital V inexpliccably inserted into his frist name. The list goes on.
