Didn't Martinez have the second highest offensive output in the B1G? Shea Patterson on 3rd team? After Michigan's embarrassment at OSU?

Absolutely. Was the 2nd best qb in the big10 all season... dont see how he couldnt even get 2nd or 3rd team...

Had a great freshman season. Should have been 3rd team, but he will be on it next year for sure. Might get a 1st team next year.

He had the third best QB stats in the Big 10. At the very least he should of been a third teamer. With that said, I think it will make him hungry so it is all good.

He is just a Freshman (a true Freshman) and he has a lot of maturing to do. Overcoming turnovers. Next year I would expect first team status if he stays healthy.

It is a deep and talented list of B1G QBs. I did think he should have won Freshman of the year... QB more difficult than WR (Moore) and he influenced his team more.

Pull out a couple more wins, especially against Ohio State, and then it's a yes.

Because the poll was still open on the Monday after the game... And I could not see the percentages without voting.

They have the talent, they need to take the step of winning the games they should win in the manner they should win them. Don’t play down to the level of the opponent.

It better be...defense front should be fixed and Akron Defense should allow for deeper passes. At HOME at NIGHT!!! #GBR

I do not believe some of the glaring problems with the run defense have not been fixed, and Akron will exploit them.

The D-line against Cincy wasn't overly impressive, our run game was relatively unproductive, and we had some lucky breaks (even if good play contributed). The next two weeks will be important for closing gaps; I don't think we'll wallop Akron quite by 30+ points. I'm guessing we end up 17

We lose this game every time for years. The culture is changing; the confidence is growing; the return to excellence is near. The old fogies who still wish bread was a dime will denigrate the O & D lines & malign the play calling. They forget how bad things have been. This is better. This was a win.

Many times in the past, the Huskers looked not so good against mediocre teams in nonconference, then got their act together for a good season. The Michigan game will be the real barometer.

this time last year, this would have been a loss. Their backs were on the ropes, but managed to pull the W instead. Still need to learn how to keep the foot on the gas, and not let up in all 4 quarters...

Bearcats are the Huskers of 2024. They found a way lose through penalties and turnovers.

What I saw in the trenches is very concerning. Also, that rinky dink 3 yards and a cloud of dust by the throwing the ball offense won't get it done against the big boys.

D-line is a definite concern. No sacks, no real pressure on their QB especially - when it really counted,

N was fortunate to win. The O and D lines were underwhelming vs an average B12 team. 8-4 might be optimistic.

Should have put on SPY on the QB, if that dude takes off, hammer his ass, period! Inside D looks like a problem, gap containment, giant hole.

The only improvement I saw was only one stupid penalty. A 79% passing rating was overblown with two and three yard completions. D-Line got blown off the ball.

In the last 5 games in 2024 plus this game, NU has only managed to score more than 20 points once with Holgersen's play calling. The OL and DL wasn't impressive. The defense had trouble stopping the run even though Cincy couldn't throw effectively. Do not drink the Kool-Aid yet!

Last seven minutes, Cincy marches down the field and scores, Huskers can't put a final drive together and punt on 4th and 14. Cincy gets ball on the 10, marches, easily, down the field and, thankfully, throws the game away on a poorly executed pass in the end zone. we were dominated in the 4th qrt

No RB depth. Johnson is a star, but will get hurt early in the season if that load continues. D gashed by runs over and over. O didn’t finish drives.

When compared to preseason hype the win raises flags on what is real and what isn’t. The hype = 1995 levels for a team that at best may be a 7 or 8 win team

First off, Cincinatti is better team than Nebraska fans think. But, I was disappointed there is no RB2, Need more deep pass attempts, DLine is smallish & soft. Specail teams look okay so far. My win total has dropped to 7 or 8 vs. 9 wins.

OL showed zero improvement and DL definitely has downgraded. Only 1 legit RB. WRs struggled to get separation. Once again misled by the biased Nebraska media during the offseason. Exactly why I don't drink the Kool-Aid
