Why should I expect others to clean up after me? That's my responsibility, not theirs.

It's the right thing to do

It just lazy to leave it.

I've never thought about doing the other way around. It's just a matter of common sense!

I haven't been to the movies in a long time, but I always took my trash with me. It's the right thing to do and I always hated trying to step over someone's soda or popcorn while trying to navigate the narrow space between rows of seats.

I always try to clean up after myself. At a restaurant, a theatre, a beach, a park, elsewhere, etc. It is being respectful of others, the environment, and the world around me. Also, my past jobs included cleaning restaurant tables, theatres, stores, etc. I am teaching my son the same respect.

It is the proper thing to do.

A little popcorn may spill -- the staff can sweep that up later. Everything else gets carried out and pitched.
