Reply ReplyWith a new coach coming to Denver, and no real improvements in sight for Denver's roster, now is the perfect time for Manning to retire, he will have passed the torch to Luck, who will take his place as an elite QB
Reply ReplyElway is bringing in his own coach, and already has a prospect he has been grooming in Brock Oswhytryspelling. He already has the records and a ring. Why should he risk more injury? Step away gracefully and allow Denver to resign J & D Thomas and take advantage of the scaled rookie deals.
Reply ReplyThe only thing keeping Manning from playing next year will be his body as he is a competitor at heart. But that is an odd thing to consider with the quad injury he hid. Barring health, I still don't see Manning suiting up for Denver next year as I think the team will want to go in favor of Osweiler to see what they have in the guy before his rookie contract is up. Manning in turn will have to hang up his cleats a Bronco or look for work elsewhere.
Reply ReplyHis late-season performance made it really clear that Peyton's done. It's been a great career, and he'll be making the trip to Canton, but it's over. hang 'em up, Peyton. Don't be like Brett Favre and hang around too long looking foolish.
Reply ReplyManning's body is breaking down too much, and if the Broncos thought Manning was coming back they wouldn't have fired Fox.
Reply ReplyFans have lost faith! Osweiler time! Give the dude a chance and who knows!
Reply ReplyHe was very iffy when asked that question After the divisional afc p,layoffs
Reply ReplyHe old. Too much money, Ole Elway is too smart to not see that manning is in decline bordering on free fall.
Reply ReplyJust do not think he is the old Manning anymore. No excuse for him given the talent he has around him.

ReplyHe ain't going out like that. He'll give it one more go and still finish behind his rival Tom Brady for matchup wins and SB wins. He probably finish behind little bro Eli too for SB wins.
ReplyElway has already said that Manning will have a say on who becomes the Broncos next coach. I believe he'll come back for one more season and hopefully start grooming Brock Osweiler as his successor. Broncos shouldn't see too much drop off once Manning retires. Osweiler is big and has a cannon for an arm.
ReplyManning is ailing but with a strong run game and defense he could still go for one more push for the Super Bowl, one more year is most likely
Replythe broncos cannot afford to lose peyton they have no franchise/ above average qb ready to take the helm. my money is on peyton giving it 1 more go
ReplyThey don't have anyone to replace him with, and as someone who owned Demaryius and Emmanuel on my fantasy team this year, trust me, this guy has some juice left. He lost it around Wk 14, but that could be a result of mounting injuries throughout the season, not a career ending development. May as well roll the dice with him, you really think Osweiler gives them an advantage here? If Demaryius re-signs with Denver, Peyton will not retire until the end of next year.
ReplyPeyton Manning is still a great player .. There is no way Denver will give him up given the lack of quarterback's available. They have one year left, and you just don't ditch a player like Peyton.
