At this point, Wisconsin is a much better program. A win over the Badgers can propel the Hawkeyes any season.

The Bison lost their first game, but have a proven ability to beat D-I teams. A good bowl game and the Big Ten West is in their reach. Show Less

Huskers are building talent...they are largely on par with Wisconsin right now from a talent perspective...the Wisconsin game shows how well the coaches are developing the talent we have...win that...the Oregon game in 2017 can be the next barometer game

Oregon will give us view of where we are in terms of development for the first part of the season. However, not necessarily for the season itself because Oregon uses, or has used much more of a hurry up offense than we see in BIG. .

Over the past decade or so, Oregon has been considered a national power still has the national perception of being an elite program. These are the types of schools we need to be able to defeat on a regular basis if we want to be considered elite again.

The tone will be set early for what the season will look like. Just like last year. The BYU game said it all for what the team looked like last year.
