I don't believe the schools are trained in this sufficiently and many of the teachers aren't qualified in this field.

I think it is personal and should be explain in a personal way between the parent and child so the child doesn't receive any type of drama in the process.

So often, children and teens are abused by someone at HOME. Also, if the teachers aren't equipped to teach this, do you really think the average parent is?

Kids or teens often view peers or teachers as role models more than their parents during this time. It is more common to ask a teacher these questions than your own parents. PRO Early sexual education

Mistakes happen, and she was forthcoming and honest about it. The teacher took it upon herself to contact parents and right the wrong, Had she tried to cover it up...that would be different.
