I’ve seen the super Mario brothers movie a few times and at least it takes creative risks which is more than can be said of a lot franchised media now days.

There's only one Super Mario Bros Movie, whereas if I were to watch a Christopher Reeve Superman flick, I know I have better options.

Both bad, but Mario is fun because it's so goofy

Never saw all of this movie, but this has a contingent of people who think it works as it's own weird thing, that even though it's a terrible Mario film it's pretty good sort of surreal fantasy film.

I'd have an easier time riffing it.

I love revisiting this one from time to time. The story how this movie was made and how it flopped is out of this world. Fun fact: directed by the creators of Max Headroom.

SMB movie is actually one of my favorite guilty pleasures. It's not good, but it is fun to watch.
