Newsome has pandered to a group that has little if any idea about what the negative impact this is going to have on many, e.g., fewer hours, layoffs (read terminations), and fewer employment opportunities for entry level and unskilled workers. ...and higher prices in a recession. Thanks, Newsom!

Theyll get paid more, yet still provide the same crap service. Also.... prices of fast food will go up. Might as well go to a nice restaurant for the same high prices and get served better.

People should be able to making a living wage. Homelessness perpetuates when people cannot make a living wage. This shows up in mostly red states that have not raised the minimum wage beyond $7-something in years. At least the states that pay around $15-18/hr. are trying to do right.

During the Pandemic it was claimed that people received more from unemployment than from their actual job. So why is it even a debate about raising the minimum wage? I will always believe that America's greatest resource is its people.
