Government has no business of revoking the loan amount of farmers or any other entity whatsoever may be the reasons. The reason being, only the wealthy among the so called farmers are benefited by such schemes. The real poor farmer never gets the benefit. It is the poor farmers who commit suicide. There are other ways to ensure good enough livelihood for the general populace that should be used rather than paying the loan on the behalf of farmers. Farmers are generally risk taking entrepreneurs. Giving out doles simply negates the efforts they take. Show Less

It is the governments' responsibility to take care of the poor farmers. Farmers are the ones who feed the whole country. If they are facing situations that force them to commit suicide, then, who should be looking after them? It is the governments responsibility and no one else. So, the best policy is to waive off the loans of farmers who actually need it. Show Less
