They should not be paid to attend their mandated regular 9 month curriculum. But summer school (for most) is an option. I like it that participation is incentivized because it enhances a student’s basic education. And it is private money funding the incentive so no school district funding is at risk
I love a natural tree best, but I have to admit that a few years ago, I bought a beautiful fake tree, with lights, berries, and pine cones already on it and I love it.
There really is no need to kill a living tree in order to set it up in one's home just so people can look at it and then throw it away once the holiday season is over. It's wasteful and selfish.
