Yes! Academic support is there for them every step of the way. If they are able to compete then they should have the option to compete. Remember why Marshall needed to play freshmen back in the day??

Antiquated philosophy. College athletes at most schools have excellent academic support and are set up to succeed. I think in basketball, the JUCO system would florish. But, it might destroy the Calipari model, which may not be a terrible thing.

We have had and settled this debate already. some of these "Kids" come out of Programs that would rival some small colleges. Freshman can be Red Shirted if they are not ready.

Because they're so talented that by the time they're in the 8th grade they could start on any D-1 school. Don't wanna get them too fat a head too early.

IMO, There should be no PUBLIC profiles on children so young. Sophomores at the earliest, IMO.

they work on evaluating Jr and Sr's better before they dip that low. it's just idiotic that they feel the need to look at a 6 grader.
