Under Kirk Ferentz there has always been offensive inconsistencies whether it was under Ken O'Keefe or Greg Davis. It might be a little more smooth sailing since Brian Ferentz knows Kirk so well, but Brian had some influence over this offense and it was flat out brutal over the past few years. They should have hired someone from the outside.

Because Iowa just can't get the talent at the skill positions to be really effective on offense, therefore you have to play the short-gains game.
