It's jumped so much from last year. I retired recently after nearly 45 years at company but might have to work part time just to make ends meet. So unfair to the elderly, and poor who have a hard time deciding what's most important for survival. Food, shelter, medications or heat. Corporate greed.

Yes it's costing quite a bit more to heat our home this year. PP&L obviously raised their rates.

Not really; living in an "all electric" house, I have kept track of my electric utility bills for the last 13 years. The cost of my Pacific Power Electricity has increased at an average rate of 2.9% per year, which I find quite reasonable.

Yes for a short time, but it means other problems will escalate. The economy is in the toilet. It will get much worse.

This is just one piece of the economic puzzle, and not indicative of future results for our wallets. Most of us have adjusted to the higher fuel prices by curtailing fueling up when we can avoid it, but the lower fuel costs still don't offset the still-rising cost of groceries. Or natural gas.

Prices will go back up soon. Meanwhile, we still enjoy the lowest gas prices on the planet.
