look what happened after Tom Osborne. It is harder to sustain after you are already at the top

Coach Pettit Deserves credit for putting Nebraska to the top, but Coach Cook has not only won the games, 4 National Championships, but has kept Nebraska up as other schools have developed.

Cook is an outstanding coach and I wouldn't trade him for anyone, but Pettit built the program into one of national prominence.
