Lowering speed limits might be an effective means of reducing injury and fatal traffic accidents but only if the limits are regularly enforced. One important way to "protect and serve" is zero to low tolerance enforcement every day.

Lowering or raising speed limits doesn't prevent traffic accidents enforcement of the present speed limits and other traffic laws is what it takes

The Parkway is already at 45. Even the highest speed around here (65) is lower than in a lot of States.

Traffic issues on the North end are being fixed. It won't be as close, but will be nice to have quality gas at a good price.

Yes, Costco will add to traffic challenges at the North end of town but the traffic in that area has been a nightmare for decades. I blame the mess on the City, County, ODOT and the Feds, for failing to adequately address issues years earlier.

I know everyone will be complaining about traffic. However, the last time Costco considered the north end, Bend wanted them to take care of all of the traffic problems. Now, with the north end rebuild, it will be dealt with. I highly doubt the let Costco in for free and they are paying their shar

Traffic getting in and out of this area is already bad, and they want to add a Costco?

Traffic is so bad on the north end and now it will be worse. Trying to get from the empire ramp to hywy 97 is just nerve racking. Then trying to move left across lanes to get into the shopping stores is impossible now. Costco will be so busy it won't be worth going there. Have two stores.

This will be a considerable inconvenience for me. I live in La Pine and come to Bend once a week for a veterans support group meeting. I try to combine this trip with as many other activities as possible, like visits to the anticoagulation clinic at the hospital and shopping at Costco and Fred Mey

The traffic in Bend is a nightmare anyway. No matter where you go.

We live in the Three Rivers area of South Deschutes County and often ride the roads near Sunriver. Our roads are busy w/RV's, boaters, trailers all heading to the High Lakes and skiers on the winter. Many roads lack an adequate shoulder, forcing riders into traffic lanes.

Why cater to a few instead of fixing roads that benefits all. Waste of time and our taxpayer funds for a pathway.

why are you going to La Pine in the first place?

An expensive boondoggle which will only be used by a small percentage of the population.

Fixing the roads would be a better for that money
