The word implies an offense posture instead of defense posture. That is not what our country should be about. We want our democracy back.

I am not for the aggression suggested by using War in the name.

Department of War implies that we are aggressors starting wars, while Department of Defense implies that we will fend off aggressors to maintain peace. I much prefer the latter.
