No civilian needs an assault weapon. They are NOT covered by the 2nd amendment. Muskets were the weapon of that day and age, not automatic weapons.

By allowing these weapons of mass destruction available to all in our society we are saying that it is ok to kill the most vulnerable in our society. I can't think of any hunters who use AR 15s. The destruction of the animal would be too severe.

We need to enforce laws already on the books. If police are either cowardly or trained to preserve their own lives above all else, nothing will be effective.
