Many hand dryers produce noise that is much louder than what their manufacturers claim. And extremely loud noise can interfere with hearing. Nora Keegan, whose work was published in Paediatrics & Child Health Journal, asserted that people could experience hearing loss after using a hand dryer.

Nora Keegan's study about hand dryers and how they can trigger hearing loss is mostly based on her personal experience and a few kids she interviewed. No scholars (experienced scientists) have come up with similar studies. Plus, many people would be deaf if indeed hair dryers caused hearing loss.
