The non-unanimous jury was completely unconstitutional and Oregon fought hard to keep it, being the last state in the country to get rid of what was well known as a Jim Crow law. And yet Oregon continues to do things that are unconstitutional, such as not provide enough public defenders.
the courts have no problem sending someone to prison for life with a simple majority, but 11-1 jury? Unconstitutional!

Right now everyone is struggling and they make atleast 2x as much a year than I do. And many other residents of deschutes Co Maybe if they struggle some they might fight for what the people need.
I guess the money they got from Thornburgh wasn't enough. Or maybe they think they deserve a reward for the fine job they think they did in selecting Cheyenne Purrington.
