The non-unanimous jury was completely unconstitutional and Oregon fought hard to keep it, being the last state in the country to get rid of what was well known as a Jim Crow law. And yet Oregon continues to do things that are unconstitutional, such as not provide enough public defenders.

Because a non-unanimous verdict means there is reasonable doubt

the courts have no problem sending someone to prison for life with a simple majority, but 11-1 jury? Unconstitutional! P.S. He’s the obviously innocent nephew of Stephen Avery from Making A Murderer.

Driving anywhere in Bend these days is a nightmare. Planning commission gets a "F-"

(5) Why does north bound 20 exit to the right? This required a new overpass to be built over the new highway, only to dump you immediately into another righthand exit, using the other recently built overpass/cloverleaf interchange. Is Bend not aware of exiting on the left?
