There needs 2 be a 3rd option: ALL grade levels need to start their days AT THE SAME TIME. Regarding shared bus fleet: completely STOP providing yellow buses for 6th grade + older! Make Middle and High schoolers take TRANSIT if they need a bus. Schools should coordinate with + pay CET to add routes

It's been proven that teenagers function better and learn better when waking up a little later in the day. I myself was home schooled and I feel making my own schedule was SO beneficial! Still to this day, not a morning person.

I was excited when they moved elementary school start times earlier because that meant I was ABLE to get my child to the bus before I had to go to work. Before that, I had to get both before and after school care and that is expensive, also harder to find now.

Elementary kids safety is more important. It's dark until 8 am in the winter. Litttle kids waiting for the school bus and dark outside just don't mix.

Neither should start before 8:30. https://www.sleepfoundation.org/school-and-sleep/later-school-start-times

Split schedules cause logistics problems for families, the schools and transportation. Why would the school board make such a dumb decision? Common sense should be a prerequisite for being a school board member.

Learn some self control and go to bed, you need more sleep plan you day so you get it. My 15 year old is always up around 5-6am by her own choice. Not to mention it helps parents if the older children are avalible to babysit earlier in the day.

All grades K-12 should start at the same time or close to for the sake of the parents.

After-school care for young children is costly and many families don't have the means to afford such care. The cost of living in the area adds to families living in poor conditions causing a lot more health concerns for young families versus the benefit of starting an earlier school day.

Because then most of them are not awake at 9 or 8 am so that is my reasoning

These kids are older easier to deal with in the mornings. Older kids can get themselves to school or the bus. Elementary kids need there parents. Single parents with more than one child need more time in the mornings!

I prefer metering to increasing the number of lanes. More than one lane makes roundabouts much more dangerous to navigate, especially with drivers who are not locals and do not understand how roundabouts work. 2 lanes = many more accidents plus 2 lanes need to be a much larger diameter for safety.

If it weren’t so maddening, our City counselors would make for a cast in a Monty Python show. They befuddle themselves with ludicrous ideas and foist them onto the taxpayers. Bend is becoming a laughing stock to outsiders and a source of continual angst for the residents.

Isn't that why they put the round about in because stop lights were going to cost to much????? Just saying.

doesn't this defeat the purpose of a roundabout? might as well make it a regular intersection with lights.

If people used the roundabout correctly and actually filled in the gaps and went when there was an opening it would flow just fine. People wait for a bus sized gap before they go.

The point of the roundabouts was to get rid of lights

What's the point of having a light at a roundabout? The point of a roundabout is to get rid of the lights. Widen it and start growing for the people coming here. The way bend builds, everything is obsolete by the time it's done.

I drive through this around about several times everyday and it is never an issue very rarely. Is it an issue? The reason they put roundabouts in for the first place was to get rid of stop lights and stop signs
