I used to and then began recycling only to learn it was essentially a waste of time. The plastic water bottles cannot be melted down and reused...so we toss them.

We recycle them. I have a Cirkul bottle, that comes with refills. I also have Tempur pitcher that filters tap water. I don’t use plastic water bottles at all, or plastic drinking straws.

Whenever I can. They are super flimsy nowadays though. Powerade and Gatorade bottles are stout and I wash and reuse them over and over.
ReplyNYC has excellent tap water. I fill a bottle and keep it in the refrigerator.

ReplyWe reuse some of the bottles, but not those that have been outside or in the car.
ReplyIt's funny, I reuse the bottles when I need to bring milk with me to work for oatmeal. I rinse them out and put just the right amount of milk I need.
