Is an animated show something to get excited for on HBO Max? Bruce Timm is not the same guy from the Animated series these days, did you see Killing Joke's opening or Batman and Harley Quinn? I'm not totally sure why JJ Abrams needs to be involved at all, and sure its cool that Matt Reeves is involved, but if it doesn't tie to his universe what's the point? Until I hear Kevin Conroy & Mark Hamill are being cast I'm just not interested in a new Batman animated show.

Is an explanation even necessary!? While Batman The Animated Series is far & away one of the best Batman properties we've ever had, all the Batman cartoons are pretty fantastic. So of course I'm stoked for a new animated show! But hearing Bruce Timm & Matt Reeves are producing is also super exciting
