Losing to TTUN is never acceptable, and after back-to-back losses in The Game, is it time to re-evaluate the team's recruiting priorities? Bringing in top athletes throughout the great state of Ohio could bring the focus of the rivalry back into prime focus for this team, and right the ship in 2023. Show Less

Year in and year out, Ohio State has three goals: Beat TTUN, Win the B1G, and Win the National Championship. In order to compete with the best of the best, you have to recruit with them. And that means recruiting the top players across the country. Consider some of the best OSU players of the last decade: Chris Olave, CJ Stroud, Justin Fields, Chase Young, Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa, Ezekiel Elliott, Michael Thomas, Garrett Wilson, JSN, MHJ, Jeff Okudah, JT Barrett, Dwayne Haskins. Not one of these players called Ohio home before arriving in Columbus. Trust the process, and recruit nationally. Show Less

Ohio simply does not produce top blue chip recruits consistently year over year like it did in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, etc. Love having an ohio rich roster but love contending for NC's more.

Losing Paris Johnson, Dawand Jones, and Luke Wypler to the draft leaves a lot of question marks on this unit, and an experienced Power 5 OT could prove to make all the difference...assuming he's able to play his way into the starting rotation without participating in Spring practices. Sure-handed, trustworthy, and electric play-maker. With the majority of punts being fair-caught, having someone back there that the staff and team can rely on to secure the ball is of high importance. There is always the potential for a run-back with his athleticism, should a return be set-up. Thinking back to Ted Ginn Jr. returning punts as the WR1 as well (though the '06 NC game opening kick-off still haunts my dreams). Show Less

You cannot risk your clear-cut, generational talent, WR1 MHJ on a low percentage play like a punt return (especially seeing how important a single player like him can be to this... Show More
You cannot risk your clear-cut, generational talent, WR1 MHJ on a low percentage play like a punt return (especially seeing how important a single player like him can be to this team). Put someone back there with track level speed, maybe a younger player that is trying to increase playing time (a la Jayden Ballard) or a former walk-on that has earned his spot on the offense, Xavier Johnson. And in the case for the latter, The Shoe better be rocking DMX's "X Gon Give It To Ya" if/when he takes it to the house. Show Less
