"Last couple of years it was "we can't adjust in game or at the half." Now these adjustments are made and everyone is upset. Hey, no one said this was going to be easy."
What's your main take-away from the Miami game?
"In some ways I think Bo is the modern day Marty Schottenheimer. A guy who always made their team choke up and play too tight in big games. Bo, also was a hot head, and after last year I think his comments about fan and daring the administration to fire him. Coaches not putting players in a position to succeed. no identity as a team or program. Lastly lack of development, I think this team hit a point and didn't develop anymore. When Ameer went down, Newby wasn't really the answer was he? I don't blame Newby. I feel he was never developed or put in to get meaningful snaps. We saw this with out QB."
Was the firing of Bo Pelini the right move?
"Turnovers, usually a team that is +1 over their opponent wins. There is a NFL spreadsheet that is talked about on talk radio that has the exact stats. The gist is 90% of the time the team that doesn't turn the ball over and gains a turn over wins. NU needs no turn overs and MSU could help us out by having 2."
What will be more important for Nebraska against Michigan State?
"I think NU will get 200 -250 but not the 300 average. I think something has to give.. Perhaps the Passing game will open up the rushing."
Which team is more likely to achieve their rushing ypg average?
"I expected a number of mental mistakes and turnovers. We saw a couple of mistakes on a couple drives but they go their focus back and those mistakes didn't kill the drive. Time will tell, but when you put up these sorts of numbers against a D1 team. Something is going the right direction."
Did you expect the Husker's offense to operate so efficiently?
