The non-unanimous jury was completely unconstitutional and Oregon fought hard to keep it, being the last state in the country to get rid of what was well known as a Jim Crow law. And yet Oregon continues to do things that are unconstitutional, such as not provide enough public defenders.
the courts have no problem sending someone to prison for life with a simple majority, but 11-1 jury? Unconstitutional!

Resign. We should expect and demand the highest integrity, especially for our law enforcement people. How can they - he - credibly issue tickets, etc., when he himself has lied in order to get to where he is.
