Absolutely no! I did take some monumental pictures of it recently. And was surprised by the numbers doing the same. Why is city getting involved in this if they are not attempted to push conservative values on everyone else? Including the tourist trade. Are conservatives afraid of more business?

there didn't appear to be a mass amount of traffic being inconvenienced where the statue is currently located

She's a Palm Springs icon and needed to be in an obvious more visible space. She never should have left her spot on Palm Canyon Dr. Also, why didn't our city attorney check out the possibility of a lawsuit before she was placed in front of the museum. What a terrible waste of taxpayer waste of $$

The Palm Springs Art Museum had nothing to do with the lawsuit. It was filed by a group headed by Trina Turk a local business person who has some issue about the statue displaying Marilyn Monroes panties. She needs to relocate her business to El Paseo where conservative values are valued.

It should stay where it is, the only reason it is being moved is that the art museum thinks it is not art.

Trina Turk and her uptight rich friends need to move to El Paseo where her idiotic conservative values can be appreciated. She has cost the city money over much to do about nothing. Marilyn has become an iconic image of our city and the area.

Trina Turk should move to El Paseo where she can find more conservative cronies to do her bidding!

It's in the right location. Look at the crowds it draws. And it doesn't block the museum! ridiculous argument. Just troublemakers costing the city precious revenue. Go spend your time on something important.

It's in such a perfect spot great photos it just enhances that area. My fear is there they're going to move it off of that main area and there's going to be homeless people hanging on it there's going to be vandalism. And if it's too far off people who aren't really aware of it might miss it and not

The city and state were doing nothing to protect the downtown businesses...

We must support the laws of our country. The LA Mayor should have stopped it in the beginning and the governor Newsom has run California backrupt. Businesses are leaving and the cost of living in California is a direct result of his policies. Riots are not the way to let your views be heard.

Please be reminded that not all laws are humane. Did you forget about the laws allowing my grandparents to be raped and molested solely because they were slaves from Africa. I support laws that respect humanity. Perhaps you should consider the same. Solely supporting laws is just a cop out.

Criminals are people who break the law should be arrested and tried. Peaceful protest are legal, non violent and when told to disband go home.

It's should never be a crime to seek ways to support you and your familes life. Don't forget, and please do not be fooled, A significant majority of undocumented immigrants are here to help our country as we help them with fair wages. Why is that a crime? If so, it's a bad law.

It is a blatant violation of the Constitution. The protests in Los Angeles are not a rebellion. They are not ann insurrection. Jan6 WAS an insurrection. Tossing words like rebellion and insurrection around without regard for the truth is not only dangerous, it is reprehensible.

Our troops should protect our country from violent assaults from enemies, not people serving our communities and adding value to our country.

It is purely political, Trump creates the problem, then takes credit for solving it--all to divert attention the real problems he is either incapable of solving or refuses to resolve.

The person who should be arrested is Donald Trump, who committed treason against America when he tried to overturn an election in which got stomped.

The military presence is inflaming the situation. They need to leave in order to deescalate the situation.

The LAPD had everything under control. All 'The No Do Gooders", (quote by president Bush"), will be arrested! And they should be! However, the dictator now in the White House, instigated the protesters and the bad people to go down an ugly path. His lies are very dangerous.

It is against our constitution for the military to be used against its citizens and the Felon in Chief needs permission from the Governor to bring in the National Guard. Everything this administration does is to cause us to fight with each other and cause Chaos so he has a reason to break the law.

This is not a full fledged riot and trump is doing this to create chaos and punish CA for not bowing down to his dictatorship.

The military is highly trained group whose mission is to protect the US abroad. Their equipment is not styled for civil intervention. They train for war. Even the National Guard isn't really isn't the best choice for crowd control. Local police usually can control these situations.

ICE activity creates fear in our community. Deploying the CA national guard against the wishes of our governor and LA mayor is authoritarian and erodes the foundations of our democracy. The federal government is trampling on the states rights of CA. If they do it here every state is at risk.

I would of thought that if I had a problem that I would have shared it with DT and not use social media.
