His arc ended by him finally being more self-oriented and living out his dream of being with Peggy. Both story arcs were completed.

Iron man is the beet superhero, he shows that even when your in a dark time, you can come back bigger and better. Peter Parker lost a father model, and Morgan lost he dad. It’s heartbreaking.

He played Iron Man so well in the movies. He portrayed iron man exactly how he was in the comics. witty, courageous, little feisty/sassy, all while having immeasurable class and leadership. not to mention he uploaded his conscience into J.A.R.V.I.S.

It would be really cool if they brought him back from an alternative universe and use some age altering CGI to have him play a younger Tony.
Iron Man had a full character arch and it ended with a heroic sacrifice to save the entire universe at the expense of his own life. Resurrecting him would seriously cheapen his sacrifice.

His revival would tarnish the effect and the meaning of his sacrifice.Not saying it was perfect, bc he deserved a happy ending.

Tony’s death gave the other characters motivation and determination. If Tony came back, that could possibly disappear.
