If Purdue had a better team to start with, i think this would help get them fired up, since the team has limited legacy to fall back on it probably hurts the team moral and makes this challenge even greater. NU can't afford to take them lightly though!

The interim coach is basically auditioning for a bigger gig, trying to show the Purdue suits that he deserves to be HC... and how better to do that than to upset a Top 10 team in his very first game?
ReplyYou don't know what you are going to get now. New interim head coach means all current tendencies go out the window. That makes our scouting tougher. It is still the same talent, but I think it increases the odds of something crazy happening.
