The interim coach is basically auditioning for a bigger gig, trying to show the Purdue suits that he deserves to be HC... and how better to do that than to upset a Top 10 team in his very first game?

You don't know what you are going to get now. New interim head coach means all current tendencies go out the window. That makes our scouting tougher. It is still the same talent, but I think it increases the odds of something crazy happening.

If Purdue had a better team to start with, i think this would help get them fired up, since the team has limited legacy to fall back on it probably hurts the team moral and makes this challenge even greater. NU can't afford to take them lightly though!

Is the recent coaching staff and player movement a sign of deeper issues with Nebraska football?

Yes, it indicates systemic problems

No, it's the nature of modern football

The only reason I voted yes is because we needed a reality check from the narrative that Matt Rhule is creating such a great culture. I think he’s doing a pretty darn good job and we are still above culturally but he isn’t walking on water.

I think without getting cute and simplifying we were able to see the talent that was recruited on the line shine against Wisconsin. There were holes open nearly all night for our backs. Dylan was not sacked at all.

Tonite I saw hints of the '95 Huskers. We have a lot of work to do but I think with Rhule and Holgerson, I think within the next 2-3 seasons, we will be on the ranking polls and pushing for the Big 10 Legends title and then? Who knows? Maybe a National title is in the future??

I think a good 'running' OC like Army's OC could have an awesome offense with this exact personnel. And the Army's OC only makes $190K.

There are some good high school defenses that would give our line fits.

Offensive is the right word. The Pipeline is clogged and needs a plumber ASAP. The you know what is backing up into the basement. That Focker is our offensive line.

We need a complete overhaul of personnel. Coaching is there, talent isn't.
