As this case proves, the #MeToo movement is just another good sound bite. Politicians like Gillibrand can make quite a meal out of this issue and drive up their numbers among the sheep who buy into it. But it serves the politicians who espouse the movement's priorities instead of actually giving women and victims a voice and real support.
