Trump needs some comfort, and certainly some unconditional love and devotion. There is much to be said for a pup that hops into your lap and trembles with joy at your every pat. A dachshund would be a great choice, among others worthy of consideration: Beagles, Jack Russells, various Terriers, and let's not forget that Poodles are notoriously intelligent. Show Less

A dog that could guard him and stand by his side is just the kind of canine companion that Trump would really enjoy. He would probably find himself surprised by how much pleasure can be derived from proudly standing beside a dog who is equally proud to stand by his side. There are a few breeds that would really suit his style: German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Great Danes, Bloodhounds, and any of the Retrievers or Pointers are all smart and loyal enough to serve our President.
