If those findings are going to be kept from the public, why were they even bothering with the investigation to begin with? Isn't the whole point of such a probe to subject the presidency to the same level of transparency as anyone else? Everyone--from the man on the street to every member of Congress--should get a copy of the report if he or she wants it.

First of all, we probably wouldn't even know what we were looking at anyway; it's in legalese and was never intended for public consumption. We should trust our elected officials to tell us what we need to know and be satisfied that the right decisions are being made. Why appoint someone to investigate and then pretend to be experts ourselves?
